- WWF Tanzania Overview
WWF Tanzania Country Office is a non-governmental organization focused on environmental protection in Tanzania. Established in 1990, WWF Tanzania has supported the Government of Tanzania in implementing various projects across sectors such as Marine, Forest, Fresh Water, Energy, and Wildlife. WWF’s global mission is to halt the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to promote a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. This mission focuses on:
i. Conserving the world’s biological diversity.
ii. Ensuring the sustainable use of renewable natural resources.
iii. Promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption. - Objective of the Tender
WWF Tanzania seeks to ensure business continuity through asset insurance. As part of mitigating risks, WWF Tanzania is insuring its general assets, which include office furniture, equipment, plants & machinery (including generators). The purpose of this insurance is to protect WWF’s physical assets against potential damage or loss due to various causes such as fire, theft, or natural disasters, thereby minimizing financial strain. - Insurance Service Requirement
WWF Tanzania is looking for eligible, reputable, and well-established insurance firms to provide insurance services for its assets (furniture, equipment, plant & machinery) for the financial year 2026. - Eligibility & Qualification Requirements
- The applicant must be a registered company in the insurance business.
- The company should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the business with a proven track record.
- The company should have strong customer satisfaction, with supporting evidence provided.
- The company should have a credible history of processing claims fairly, efficiently, and quickly. Evidence should be provided.
- The applicant should have appropriate staffing, professionalism, and responsive customer service.
- Evidence of financial capacity to handle claims promptly should be provided.
- The company should not be involved in any legal proceedings.
- Any other supporting documents deemed relevant for this tender.
- Scope of Assets to Be Insured
WWF Tanzania requires an insurance provider for its general assets (non-health-related) for the financial year 2026. These assets include:- Office furniture
- ICT equipment
- Office plant & machinery (including generators)
- Cash
- Submission Requirements
Interested bidders should submit their documents detailing the premium charged per type of cover annually, alongside the eligibility and qualification requirements as outlined above. - Email Heading and Submission Instructions

Late or partial applications will not be accepted, regardless of the circumstances. Electronic submissions must be received by 1000 hrs local time, on Monday, 19th May, 2025. - Post-Evaluation Process
Applicants who pass the preliminary evaluation will be provided with a comprehensive list of WWF Tanzania assets in each category for final agreement before the contracting phase. - Evaluation Process
Tenders will be evaluated according to WWF Tanzania’s procurement guidelines. - Acceptance of Proposals
WWF Tanzania is not obligated to accept the lowest or highest proposal. Only successful applicants will be contacted. - Anti-Corruption Policy
