Rushtrek Tours Limited is seeking for a motivated and highly experienced applicants to fill the positions as described below. All applicants are strongly advised to adhere to application instruction and guidance provided.
- TRAVEL MANAGER (1 post)
Reporting to: General Manager
Duty station: Dar es salaam, Tanzania
The Travel Manager will be responsible to lead and oversee the company’s travel operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, exceptional client experiences, and operational excellence across all travel functions.
Scope of work
Plan, organize, and coordinate travel services, including air ticketing, hotel bookings, visa support, and ground transport.
Ensure timely and accurate ticket issuance, rebooking, and client support.
Promote and sell company travel packages, airline specials, and complementary services.
Engage in cross-selling of value-added services such as travel insurance and guided tours.
Participate in travel fairs and events to represent the company and attract new clients.
Monitor client inquiries and requests to ensure high-quality, responsive travel services.
Resolve escalated client complaints or issues related to ticketing, refunds, reissues, or other services.
Ensure that services meet both client expectations and company service standards.
Liaise and maintain good working relationships with airlines, hotels, transport providers, and visa agencies.
Negotiate competitive rates and offers with service providers.
Stay updated on airline policies, route changes, special offers, and promotions.
Ensure all travel services comply with industry regulations, including IATA and company travel policies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date travel records and reports.
Prepare travel performance and sales reports.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree Level |
Bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tourism, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field. Certification in IATA or GDS proficiency (Amadeus/Sabre/Galileo) is an added advantage. |
Experience |
Minimum of 4 years of experience in travel agency or tour operations, with strong knowledge of airline booking procedures, travel documentation (e.g., visas), and itinerary planning. |

- SALES AND RESERVATION OFFICER (2 posts)
Reporting to: General Manager
Duty station: Arusha, Tanzania
The Sales and Reservation Officer will be responsible for converting inquiries into confirmed bookings, managing the reservation process, maintaining excellent client relationships, and supporting the company’s marketing and promotional activities.
Scope of work
Respond to customer inquiries (phone, email, online) professionally and promptly.
Convert leads into bookings by explaining packages, tailoring itineraries, and closing sales.
Build and maintain strong relationships with individual and corporate clients.
Follow up with potential clients and maintain a database of prospects.
Maintain a good understanding of company products, services, and pricing structures.
Prepare and confirm travel itineraries, quotes, and invoices.
Make bookings with hotels, airlines, transport providers, and other third-party vendors.
Maintain accurate records of all reservations and client communications.
Update and manage the reservation system or CRM tool.
Liaise with the operations team to ensure smooth delivery of services as per client expectations.
Participate in planning and executing marketing campaigns (digital and traditional).
Support the development and updating of brochures, social media content, and promotional materials.
Attend tourism exhibitions, fairs, or networking events to promote the company.
Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to inform pricing and product strategies.
Gather customer feedback to improve services and inform marketing messages.
Prepare weekly and monthly sales and reservations reports.
Track sales targets and contribute ideas to meet or exceed them.
Collaborate with the operations and finance teams to ensure all bookings are smoothly executed and billed.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of destination information, travel requirements, and industry changes.

- RESERVATION AND TICKETING OFFICER (1- post)
Reporting to: Travel Manager
Duty station: Dar es salaam, Tanzania
The Reservation and Ticketing Officer will be responsible for managing airline bookings, issuing tickets, processing reissues and refunds, and providing clients with timely and accurate travel support.
Scope of work
Assist clients with airline reservations.
Issue, reissue, and void airline tickets in line with client needs and airline rules.
Handle ticket cancellations, rebookings, and refunds professionally and efficiently.
Ensure all reservations comply with airline regulations and company policies.
Respond to travel inquiries via phone, email, and walk-ins promptly and courteously.
Advise clients on flight routes, travel documents, baggage allowances, and health requirements.
Follow up with clients to ensure travel documents and services are delivered on time.
Assist clients with hotel bookings and ground transportation arrangements.
Support clients with visa application procedures and documentation.
Distribute updated airline schedules, promotional materials, and travel alerts.
Maintain up-to-date records of bookings, payments, and client interactions.
Prepare sales and activity reports.
Reconcile ticket sales with finance for proper revenue reporting.

Reporting to: Operations Officer
Duty station: Arusha, Tanzania
The Tour Guide is responsible for leading clients on tours, providing them with engaging, informative, and safe experiences.
Scope of work
Review the tour itinerary, client details, and special requests.
Check vehicle readiness and coordinate with the Operations Officer and reservations teams.
Ensure all permits, entrance tickets, and documents are secured in advance.
Welcome and brief clients at the beginning of the tour.
Lead tours across various destinations, ensuring clients’ safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
Deliver informative commentary about sites, history, culture, wildlife, and customs.
Answer client questions and offer insights to enhance the overall experience.
Handle unexpected issues or emergencies calmly and professionally.
Maintain time schedules and ensure all planned activities are completed.
Provide outstanding customer service and foster a positive group atmosphere.
Handle client complaints or concerns diplomatically and escalate if necessary.
Collect client feedback for continuous service improvement.
Submit tour reports including any incidents, client feedback, and tour outcomes.
Return all company equipment and unused documents/tickets.
Share photos, testimonials, or marketing content (where applicable).

Experience |
Minimum 2 years of experience as a tour guide in Tanzania or East Africa, with strong knowledge of Tanzania’s geography, culture, history, flora and fauna.
Proficiency in English and Swahili; knowledge of other languages is an advantage. Valid Tour Guide License from an authorized institution (e.g., Tanzania Tour Guides Association). Valid driving license. |
