Job Overview

Bidvest Prestige is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Western Cape Division (Healthcare and Hospitality) as an Assistant Contract Manager/Logistics AM. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the efficient management of client contracts and the smooth operation of all supporting logistics functions.

The successful candidate will be key to optimizing processes, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and contributing to cost-saving measures within a fast-paced cleaning services environment.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support across both contract management and logistics, with duties including:

Contract Management Support:

  • Assist in the negotiation, drafting, and detailed review of contracts with clients, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Monitor contract performance meticulously, ensuring strict adherence to all terms and conditions.
  • Prepare analytical reports on contract performance for senior management.

Logistics and Operations:

  • Coordinate all logistics activities, including transportation schedules, efficient warehousing, and precise inventory management.
  • Manage and maintain professional relationships with all logistics service providers and vendors.
  • Analyse operational data and prepare comprehensive reports on logistics performance.
  • Actively assist in the development and implementation of cost-saving measures and continuous process improvements.
  • Provide dedicated support to the Contract Manager and Logistics Manager as required.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in either contract management or logistics.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with contract management software.
  • Core Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
