Step Into a New Role: Store Manager at Hey Dude in Mall of Africa!
Are you a passionate retail leader with a flair for sales and a talent for team management? Do you thrive in a dynamic, customer-focused environment? Hey Dude, a well-established international brand in the footwear industry, is looking for a Store Manager to join their team at the Mall of Africa.
This is a fantastic 5-month contract opportunity to lead a well-known brand and make a tangible impact on its success. You’ll be at the helm of a dynamic team, responsible for everything from driving sales and managing inventory to ensuring every customer has an exceptional experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
As the Store Manager, you’ll be the heart of the operation, ensuring the store runs smoothly and profitably while upholding the brand’s values. Your responsibilities will be diverse and challenging:
- Lead Sales & Merchandising: Drive sales by setting and communicating daily targets, focusing the team on upselling, and building relationships with local businesses like podiatrists and gyms. You’ll also be a master of visual merchandising, ensuring the store always looks its best.
- Manage Your Team: Recruit, lead, and motivate your team to maximize sales and deliver outstanding customer service. You’ll conduct daily meetings, provide regular feedback and training, and foster a positive team environment.
- Oversee Inventory: Take full ownership of inventory management, from processing deliveries and conducting stock counts to minimizing shrinkage and maintaining accurate records.
- Run Daily Operations: Handle all aspects of store operations, including opening and closing the store, reconciling cash, and managing controllable expenses. You will ensure the store is always clean, well-lit, and in compliance with all operational policies.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, highly organized professional with a proven track record in retail management. We need someone who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and has a passion for both people and products.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the retail industry.
- Skills: Proven sales ability, strong customer service skills, excellent communication, and effective team management.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts and a valid driver’s license with your own vehicle is advantageous.
