Are you a marketing professional with a passion for driving sales on the ground? We’re looking for an Ops Specialist: Trade Marketing to join our team in Port Elizabeth. This is a dynamic role where you’ll be the central point for all region-specific marketing activities, playing a crucial part in our sales success.
If you have a knack for turning local insights into powerful marketing campaigns and love working closely with sales teams, this opportunity is for you.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Ops Specialist, you will be the bridge between our central marketing team and the local sales channels. Your day-to-day work will be a mix of strategy, planning, and execution.
- Gathering Regional Insights: You’ll be on the front lines, identifying opportunities and gathering key insights on regional segments, customer preferences, and competitor activities. Your understanding of the local market will be vital for informing both regional management and head-office marketing teams.
- Marketing Planning: Based on your insights, you’ll plan marketing activities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring they align with regional strategy and sales objectives. You’ll work in close collaboration with the central marketing team on brand, sponsorship, and other centralized campaigns.
- Executing Marketing Activities: You’ll be responsible for the detailed coordination and operational execution of regional marketing activities, with a strong focus on sales activations and support.
- Performance Review: You’ll monitor the success of your marketing efforts and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
We need a candidate who is not only a great marketer but also has a solid understanding of sales and business operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: A 3-year Diploma/National Diploma (NQF 6) in Marketing or Sales is required.
- Experience: You should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a marketing role.
Key Competencies
- Functional Knowledge: You should have knowledge of business and commercial planning, sales and marketing, project management, and market and customer insights. Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
- Skills: You must be proficient in performance monitoring and management.
