Are you an experienced professional with a knack for turning complex data into actionable business strategies? Openserve is looking for a Specialist: Network & Business Models to join our team in Centurion. This role is a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking, perfect for someone who can bridge the gap between engineering and business.
This is a key position where you’ll be responsible for developing intricate network and business models that directly influence our growth and customer solutions. The work is both technical and financial, requiring a candidate who is innovative, dedicated, and always ahead of the curve.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our business development and strategy. A typical day will involve:
- Model Development: You’ll be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining various models, including Network, Technology, Business, Revenue, and Traffic models. You will gather and process data to ensure these models are accurate and provide meaningful insights.
- Strategic Analysis: You’ll analyze and discuss customer requirements to design suitable conceptual and detailed models. Your insights will directly lead to the development of new solutions for our clients.
- Reporting & Feedback: You’ll compile detailed reports and provide alternative recommendations on technology, network, and business solutions. You will also investigate and provide feedback on internal and external queries.
- Relationship Management: You will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders through workshops, conferences, and special interest groups. Staying technically aware of the latest telecommunication developments is a crucial part of your role.
What We’re Looking For
We need a candidate who is not only a technical expert but also a strategic thought leader.
Education & Experience
- Education:
- Minimum: A 3-year Diploma/National Diploma in Engineering (NQF 6).
- Ideal: An Honours Degree (NQF 8). A B.Tech, M.Dip. Tech, B.Eng, or B.Sc Hons. is also highly desirable.
- Experience:
- 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, OR
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a Telecommunications Network environment is essential.
Key Competencies
- Technical Skills: You should have strong knowledge of computer software, research, engineering economics, statistical analysis, and modeling techniques. Experience with strategic network and business models is a must.
- Leadership & Personal Skills: We are looking for a thought leader who can develop strategies, generate ideas, and manage tasks effectively. You should be conscientious, innovative, dedicated, and flexible.
Additional Information
- ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) registration is preferable.
- This is a full-time, permanent position located in Centurion, Gauteng.
