Position: Solutions and Continuous Improvement Engineer
This role focuses on optimizing processes, increasing productivity, and enhancing efficiency at client sites. The engineer will minimize waste, streamline workflows, reduce delays, and develop growth-driven solutions to improve processes and generate new revenue opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
Experience
- 1–2 years in continuous improvement or process optimization
- Experience in Production, Packaging, Warehousing, Logistics/FMCG industries
- Yellow belt in Six Sigma advantageous
- Knowledge of Project Management principles and Business Process Mapping (BPM) advantageous
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
- Project management qualification advantageous
- Valid driver’s license and own car
Roles and Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Design
- Assess and analyze client processes for inefficiencies
- Lead process optimization and continuous improvement projects
- Update, deploy, and publish processes and procedures
- Apply industrial/systems engineering principles to improve processes
- Design efficient production processes to reduce waste
- Define process performance criteria (time, cost, value, response time)
- Participate in business improvement forums and change initiatives
Business Analysis
- Perform business impact analysis on operational changes
- Measure and baseline value chain performance
- Identify bottom-line and economic profit enhancement opportunities
- Deliver quantifiable savings aligned with improved customer experience
- Support metrics collection and reporting for monthly business reviews
- Facilitate cross-functional sessions to design and review processes
Project Management
- Manage and coordinate implementation of enhancements and change initiatives
- Ensure project objectives are achieved within time and budget
- Manage project stakeholders and communicate progress
- Identify and manage interdependencies, risks, and issues
Research & Development
- Research industry trends in products, services, processes, and technology
- Lead creation and maintenance of the Business Process Management Library
Consulting, Coaching & Mentoring
- Lead project teams and consult with business unit managers
- Coach and mentor CI graduates
- Act as a process re-engineering coach to line managers
- Share best practices across projects and teams
Business Alignment & SME Inputs
- Maintain synergies with stakeholders during process re-engineering
- Attend workshops and meetings to ensure proactive implementation
- Present initiatives at forums and roadshows
Controls, Compliance & Administration
- Conduct regular audits of processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulations, legal requirements, and internal policies
- Maintain accurate project documentation, status reports, and budgets
- Securely store all project data in line with Adcorp standards
Competencies
- MS Office: Visio, Projects, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- CAD & Simulation systems knowledge
