SITA, a leading organization in the ICT sector, is looking for a talented and experienced Software Developer (Java) to join their team in Gauteng. This is a full-time position for a professional with a solid background in Java development and a passion for optimizing operational efficiency through innovative software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Software Developer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Software Development: Design, develop, and customize software solutions using SITA’s technology stack to meet client needs.
• Implementation & Support: Implement, debug, and document software solutions, ensuring smooth release and functionality.
• Coding & Testing: Perform software coding assignments and rigorous testing to ensure quality and performance.
• Technical Specifications: Develop integrated Technical Service Specifications for software components to guide the development process.
• Collaboration: Work within the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies to deliver projects efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience

• Required Qualification: A three-year Diploma or Degree in ICT (Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, and Engineering) or a related field.
• Experience: 3–5 years of experience as a full-stack Java software developer in a large corporate or public sector environment.
• Technical Skills: A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SLDC) and Agile methodology is essential. You should have experience with:
  • Spring/Spring Boot and JAVA EE related frameworks
  • Frontend technologies (e.g., Angular)
  • ORM Tools (JPA, Spring Data, Hibernate)
  • Relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL)
