You’ll be responsible for a wide range of services that are critical to the daily operations of a major government department. What Does This Role Entail?

As a Soft Services Supervisor, you will be at the heart of daily operations, ensuring that all services are delivered to the highest standard. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Operational Leadership: You’ll oversee the daily operations of all soft services staff, including cleaners, landscapers, and parking attendants. You’ll develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide training and guidance to your team.
  • Compliance & Quality Control: You’ll ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental guidelines. You’ll conduct regular audits and inspections to measure the effectiveness of services and identify areas for improvement.
  • Budget & Contract Management: You will manage budgets for all soft services, identify cost-saving initiatives, and oversee contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with external vendors and suppliers.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: You’ll work closely with various departments, including HR and IT, to address any personnel or technology-related issues. You will also build and maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Problem-Solving: You will be the point person for addressing any concerns, complaints, or feedback from clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and a positive experience.

We’re looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in soft services operations and excellent leadership skills.

You will be an ideal candidate if you have:

  • A Matric and a minimum of 5 years of experience in soft services operations, supervision, or management.
  • Proven experience in managing cleaning, hygiene, pest control, landscaping, and parking management services.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience in budgeting and contract management.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel between facilities as needed.
