Are you an experienced Slitter Operator looking for a new opportunity? Novus Print: Montague Gardens, a leader in the FMCG printing industry, is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Finishing Department in Cape Town, South Africa.

This is a permanent position where you’ll be responsible for operating slitter machines to produce high-quality finished products. If you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Slitter Operator, you’ll be at the heart of our production process. Your daily tasks will include:

• Setting up and operating the slitter machine with precision.
• Loading and unloading rolls of film from the machine.
• Performing rigorous quality checks to ensure products meet required tolerances.
• Wrapping and loading finished rolls onto pallets.
• Monitoring machine operations for any malfunctions and making necessary adjustments.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment in line with health and safety standards.
• Keeping accurate daily production records.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a strong background in a fast-paced printing environment.

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Slitter/Rewinder Operator, with specific experience working with wrap-around labels.
• Education: A Grade 12 or equivalent certificate.
• Skills: We need someone who is detail-oriented, a good problem-solver, and has excellent communication skills. You should also be able to work under pressure, manage stress effectively, and have basic computer skills.
