What You’ll Do: Your Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Process Engineer in the Absa Design office, you’ll be a vital part of our team, delivering high-impact solutions across the bank. Your role is a unique blend of strategic thinking, hands-on design, and mentorship.

• Create Innovative Process Designs: You’ll develop high-quality, creative, and innovative process designs to improve customer experience and efficiency. You’ll lead simultaneous projects, providing thought leadership and delivering solutions to highly complex problems.
• Provide Expert Advice: You’ll act as a senior thought partner to business and design leadership, providing strategic insights and advice based on your deep expertise in design methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: You’ll conduct thorough analysis to understand customer pain points and business strategy, translating these insights into tangible process recommendations.
• Mentor and Coach: You’ll take an active role in developing the process design capability of our teams. You’ll provide ongoing training, mentoring, and coaching to process designers at all levels, accelerating their skill development and fostering a culture of excellence.
• Promote Reusability: You’ll champion a mindset of reusability and end-to-end value chain ownership, ensuring that designs are shared and adopted across different teams.

Who We’re Looking For: Skills and Education

The ideal candidate for this role is a results-oriented leader with a strong blend of technical and interpersonal skills.

• Education: You must have an NQF Level 8 or higher qualification, such as a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field like Physical, Mathematical, Computer, or Life Sciences.
• Required Skills: We’re looking for a well-rounded professional with strengths in influencing others, strategic and analytical thinking, process innovation, and business acumen. You should have a proven track record of design delivery and be a highly results-oriented problem-solver.
