Job Summary

We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. In this role, you will leverage your platform engineering expertise, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in an agile environment to deliver optimized, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Linux systems — ensuring reliability, automation, and performance excellence.

Key Responsibilities

System Design & Implementation

• Design, deploy, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across development, testing, and production environments.
• Build and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Automation & Optimization

• Drive automation initiatives to improve scalability, repeatability, and operational efficiency.
• Manage system patching, version upgrades, and compliance across Linux infrastructure.
• Proactively monitor and tune system performance for optimal reliability and availability.

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain system hardening according to CIS Benchmarks and security best practices.
• Ensure systems comply with regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS and internal policies.
• Manage Red Hat Satellite for subscription, patch, and compliance management.

Incident Management & Support

• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and conduct root cause analyses (RCA).
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response efforts.
• Document solutions, configurations, and operational runbooks for knowledge sharing.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with cross-functional teams including Cloud, Security, and Application specialists.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and strategic infrastructure projects.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ experience as a Linux Systems Engineer/Administrator.
• Deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and related management tools.
• Proven automation experience using Ansible, Terraform, or Red Hat Satellite.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls) and virtualization (VMware, KVM).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker or Podman.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Exposure to cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, or OpenStack) is advantageous.
