About the Role

Forvis Mazars is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in monitoring audit quality. This position involves collecting, summarizing, and synthesizing data to generate actionable insights. You will communicate findings with multiple stakeholders, recommend corrective actions, and continuously enhance monitoring practices. This is a specialized role requiring precision, analytical thinking, and collaboration under guided supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret complex data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
• Develop and maintain databases, data collection systems, and analytics strategies to improve efficiency and quality.
• Acquire data from primary and secondary sources, maintaining data systems for accuracy.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets.
• Clean and filter data by reviewing reports, printouts, and performance indicators to correct code or data issues.
• Collaborate with management to prioritize business and information needs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance reporting and data quality.

Requirements

• Technical expertise in data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
• Strong knowledge of reporting packages and database management (e.g., SQL), including SQL scripting.
• Advanced Excel skills (VBA is advantageous).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to handle large datasets.
• Experience with queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
• Post-matric qualifications; quantitative or IT-related subjects are advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in data analytics or a related field.
• Interest or experience in technology solutions supporting data and audit processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with high responsibility for daily work, capable of multi-tasking to deliver quality outputs.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Access preferred).
