Job Purpose

To plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of multiple projects β€” both personally managed and those of team members β€” ensuring all project goals are achieved efficiently and effectively. The role focuses on enabling successful delivery through strategic leadership and robust project governance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define project goals, timelines, budgets, and staffing requirements.
  • Oversee stakeholder management as an integrated discipline within all project plans.
  • Guide stakeholder groups through change and ensure smooth business transitions.
  • Evaluate business change impacts across processes, systems, and technology.
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure adherence to change management protocols.
  • Lead project scheduling, resourcing, and execution to align with strategic objectives.
  • Communicate proactively with clients, coaching them through process or system changes.
  • Manage project team capacity and negotiate trade-offs where constraints exist.
  • Collaborate across business units to achieve mutually beneficial results.
  • Resolve obstacles and escalate complex issues for executive resolution when necessary.
  • Ensure portfolio alignment with the Group Architecture roadmap and business strategies.
  • Uphold project risk management standards and ensure enterprise-wide compliance.
  • Prepare and regulate Steerco and Exco Packs for executive review.
  • Apply Agile project management methodologies.
  • Drive adoption of automation best practices, preferably with Blue Prism expertise.

Qualifications

Category Requirement
Essential Qualifications Diploma or Advanced Diploma/National 1st Degree
Preferred Qualification Honours Degree
Essential Certifications PMP, PRINCE2 (Advanced), or equivalent; PGMP certification (in progress)
Experience 5–10 years in project management; 2–3 years managing complex, large-scale projects; 1–2 years in a supervisory or line management role
