This role is a unique opportunity to apply your security expertise in the dynamic world of hospitality. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for our guests, team members, and all hotel operations.
What You’ll Be Doing 💼
As the Security Manager, you’ll be the key leader in all security-related matters. Your responsibilities extend beyond traditional security, encompassing strategic coordination, team leadership, and crucial safety compliance.
Your main duties will include:
- Operational Leadership: You’ll direct and coordinate the activities of our security personnel, organizing patrols across all hotel areas, from guest rooms to public spaces.
- Safety and Compliance: You’ll ensure the hotel is in full compliance with local safety and fire legislation. This includes conducting regular tours for fire prevention and ensuring clear escape routes.
- Incident Management: You will be responsible for investigating incidents and thefts, preparing detailed incident reports, and liaising with law enforcement when necessary.
- Training and Awareness: You’ll play a vital role in keeping our staff safe by planning and facilitating regular security awareness training.
- Strategic Coordination: You’ll maintain strong relationships with government and law enforcement agencies and coordinate with our corporate Safety/Security director on important matters.
Who We’re Looking For 🌟
The ideal candidate is an organized, resilient, and highly-skilled professional with a background in security management. You have a proven ability to lead a team and respond to a wide range of situations with a calm and systematic approach.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience: Previous security industry experience in a managerial capacity is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are a must.
- Core Competencies: You must be accountable, resilient, and capable of working under pressure while delivering a high level of customer service.
- Qualifications (Advantageous): Previous experience in a similar role, along with certifications in First Aid, firefighting, and fire combat training, would be a distinct advantage.
