An international leader in furniture manufacturing, with operations in over 50 countries, is looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to join their team. This position can be based in either Cape Town or Johannesburg and offers a unique chance to leverage your expertise to expand the company’s market presence across South Africa.
What You’ll Do: Drive Growth and Build Relationships
This is a key role focused on both new business development and managing the full sales cycle. You’ll be the face of the company, responsible for a range of critical duties, including:
- Acquiring new clients and promoting the company’s full range of products to maximize business opportunities.
- Negotiating trade terms and margins that meet client needs while maintaining profitability.
- Building and nurturing strong, long-lasting client relationships as the primary contact for key accounts.
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (operations, technical, and procurement) to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
- Contributing to team success by sharing insights and supporting colleagues.
What We’re Looking For: A Sales Expert with a Collaborative Spirit
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a strong background in wholesale furniture sales.
- Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in the local furniture market, with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Business Acumen: A strong understanding of the business landscape, with the ability to identify growth opportunities and maintain profitability.
- Sales Cycle Expertise: Experience in managing complex sales cycles and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Collaborative Approach: A team-oriented mindset with excellent relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
