The Role: Frontline Sales and Store Excellence

As a Sales Assistant, you are the face of the brand. Your primary focus will be delivering excellent customer service, driving sales, and maintaining the immaculate appearance and organization of the store.

Key Responsibilities: What You’ll Achieve

Your day-to-day work is centered on three core areas:

1. Customer Service & Sales Mastery

• Acknowledge and Engage: You must acknowledge every customer within 30 seconds—that quick connection is key!
• Establish Needs: Deliver excellent customer service by establishing your customer’s specific needs and using your technical knowledge to demonstrate product benefits.
• Drive Results: Focus on confidently closing the sale and securing add-on sales. You will actively monitor your daily sales against your individual budget.

2. Inventory & Merchandising Precision

• Replenishment: Diligently replenish footwear, apparel, and accessories from the storeroom to the sales floor daily, ensuring sizes are always available.
• Loss Prevention: Assist in minimizing shrinkage by zoning the store, acknowledging customers, and following all changing room policies.
• Stock Control: Process deliveries efficiently—checking quantities, tagging, hanging, and pricing product, ensuring accurate entries in the POS systems.
• Store Visuals: Maintain stock presentation in accordance with store standards and assist the team in changing the windows/mannequins fortnightly.

3. Operations & Personal Development

• Store Maintenance: Maintain store housekeeping daily, including cleaning, tidying change rooms, and ensuring the counter area is clear. You will also assist the manager with opening and closing procedures.
• Take Ownership of Training: Your training is your responsibility! You must actively participate in quarterly training sessions, complete assessments, and ensure you receive monthly feedback from your manager to track your progress through the Hey Dude rookie pack. This is vital for your eligibility for future promotions.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Grade 12 or Equivalent.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of customer services experience is essential.
• Flexibility: Must be able to work flexible shifts as required by the retail schedule.
• Product Knowledge (Advantageous): Previous Crocs product knowledge is a bonus, but a willingness to learn our brand is key!
