About the Role

Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Table View is looking for a Retail Store Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will assist with the overall management of the store, ensuring that operational and administrative duties are completed according to company standards, policies, and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP)
• Previous retail experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and report all customer compliments and complaints to management.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with customers.
• Resolve customer stock queries efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding feedback and enquiries.
• Ensure customer turnover per hour meets company benchmarks.
• Manage shorts and overs at the point of sale, including floats.
• Oversee refund and return transactions accurately.
• Handle back shopping and returned goods correctly.
• Verify deliveries and invoices for accuracy.
• Assist the Receiving Manager with preparing and logging claims on the Distribution Centre system.
• Manage and control high-risk stock.
• Complete daily run reconciliations.
• Order and manage branch change requirements to maintain smooth cashier operations.
• Maintain effective communication between departments and external parties.
• Control and manage documentation, including float, petty cash, and cash on hand records.
