What Does This Role Entail?
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be the driving force behind our regional sales performance. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Sales Leadership: You’ll set, monitor, and report on regional sales targets, ensuring performance aligns with our agreed-upon KPIs. You’ll also track competitor activity and develop tactical sales plans to stay ahead of the curve.
- Dealer & Customer Support: You’ll work closely with our Private Capital Dealers (PCDs), supporting them in developing and executing annual business plans. You’ll also actively engage in customer visits and provide direct sales support where required to close deals.
- Team Development: You’ll be a mentor and coach to your sales teams and dealer staff, supporting them with recruitment, training, and retention to build a high-performing team.
- Operational Excellence: You’ll identify and address sales challenges, implementing corrective action plans to ensure we meet our objectives. You’ll also collaborate with the Head of Truck Sales to align your regional strategies with national goals.
- Brand Ambassadorship: You’ll act as a brand ambassador for MAN, ensuring adherence to our brand standards and ensuring regional marketing and communication initiatives are effectively implemented.
Are You the Perfect Match?
We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated professional with a strong background in heavy commercial vehicle sales.
You will be an ideal candidate if you have:
- A Grade 12 / Matric Certificate and a relevant Bachelor’s Degree.
- 10 years of sales experience within the heavy commercial vehicles industry.
- At least 7 years of experience leading and motivating a team.
- A customer-focused and results-driven approach.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- The willingness to travel extensively.
