Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Quality Controller to join our team in Nigel, Gauteng. This permanent role is your chance to ensure the quality of our world-class products, reporting directly to the SHEQ Manager.

What You’ll Do

As a Quality Controller, you will be the guardian of our product quality. Your work will involve conducting a variety of tests and inspections, compiling critical reports, and ensuring that our products and packages consistently meet company standards. You will play a vital role in minimizing costs and ensuring all records are prepared for audit purposes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Quality Control Tests: Conduct and record both visual and physical quality control tests on products and raw materials.
• Non-Conformance Reporting: Identify and report any non-conformances or negative trends to ensure immediate action is taken.
• Reporting: Compile and issue accurate reports that document your findings and support our audit processes.
• Safety & Standards: Maintain a safe and clean work area and ensure all tasks are performed in line with our SHE policies and procedures.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a dedicated individual with a strong educational background in a relevant field and hands-on experience in quality control.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: A Matric with Maths and Science is a must. You must also have a completed 3-year tertiary qualification in either BSc Microbiology, ND Food Technology, or ND Biotechnology.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of quality control experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment, with a strong focus on microbiology.
• Skills: You should have computer literacy, a solid understanding of quality control practices and principles, and basic statistical knowledge.
• Attributes: We are seeking someone with a strong customer orientation, excellent perception, and a keen attention to detail.
