What You’ll Be Doing 💼
As a Purchasing Manager, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process, from negotiating contracts to managing vendor relationships. Your role is a crucial blend of financial management, strategic sourcing, and operational oversight.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation: You’ll obtain competitive quotes, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and ensure we’re sourcing the best products and value, all while adhering to our group standards.
- Financial Management: You’ll work closely with the Finance Director to draft the annual budget, track commitments, and prepare accurate monthly reports.
- Vendor & Relationship Management: You’ll manage relationships with our suppliers, report on their performance, and ensure our database of contracts is always up to date.
- Operational Oversight: You’ll supervise our stores, uphold health and safety standards, and ensure all purchasing administration aligns with Hilton’s policies.
- Team Leadership: You’ll be involved in recruiting new team members and managing their performance, ensuring our team is always at its best.
Who We’re Looking For 🌟
The ideal candidate is a proactive and resilient professional with a solid background in purchasing or procurement. You are a natural problem-solver who can work effectively under pressure.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience: Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the hotel or leisure sector.
- Skills: Strong financial knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Mindset: You are accountable, resilient, and dedicated to upholding the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Qualifications (Advantageous): A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline is a plus!
