Are you a highly skilled and strategic Project Engineer ready to tackle complex challenges and drive critical projects from concept to completion? AECI Mining is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team in Woodmead, Gauteng. This is a crucial role where you’ll be instrumental in developing and executing key engineering projects that will shape our future.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Project Engineer, you’ll be the central point of contact for all project phases, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your responsibilities include:

• Project Management: You will manage projects from initiation through to implementation, including feasibility studies, design, execution, and closeout. You’ll be responsible for establishing project requirements, deadlines, and budgets.
• Process Engineering: You will develop robust and accurate process engineering designs, including PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, and commissioning plans. You will also participate in or facilitate Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: You will manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
• Continuous Improvement: You will contribute to the ongoing improvement of project governance procedures and support senior project managers in developing execution strategies and project schedules.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has a BScEng/BEng in Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of experience in both process engineering and project management. A management certification or qualification is a plus. You must have a proven track record of managing multiple projects and possess advanced proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
