Are you a highly driven and experienced Production Manager with a passion for operational excellence and a knack for leading people? Omnia’s Fertilizer division is looking for a leader to join our team in Brackenfell, Western Cape, to lead our manufacturing operations.

What You’ll Be Doing 💼

As the Production Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our manufacturing operations. You’ll manage everything from daily production and planning to team leadership and safety compliance across our sites.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Production & Planning: You will lead production planning, forecast raw material needs, and drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and output.
• Procurement & Maintenance: You’ll manage the procurement of packaging materials and coordinate repairs and maintenance to ensure the reliability of our equipment.
• Multi-Site & Contractor Management: You’ll oversee contractor performance and supervise our smaller satellite sites, ensuring all operations align with our central standards.
• Stock & Expense Control: You will maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials and finished goods while managing operational expenses and contributing to cost-control initiatives.
• People Leadership: You’ll lead and develop our production teams, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and a “zero-harm” mindset.
• Compliance & Safety: You’ll ensure full compliance with all safety, legal, and environmental regulations, making safety our top priority.

Who We’re Looking For 🌟

The ideal candidate is a strategic and analytical professional with a strong background in production management, preferably within the fertilizer or chemical manufacturing industry.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in production management. You should also have proven experience in contractor and multi-site management.
• Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong leadership, planning, and analytical skills are essential. You should also have a solid understanding of procurement, stock control, and compliance frameworks.
