About the Role
Absa is seeking a Procurement Operations Specialist to provide expert Source-to-Pay (S2P) support to internal stakeholders. This role focuses on compliance, risk management, and process improvement across procurement operations, ensuring accurate, efficient, and effective support across the organisation’s procurement value chain.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Assessment & Due Diligence

• Perform third-party due diligence using Coupa Risk Assess, including anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and anti-money laundering compliance
• Provide feedback on due diligence assessments to requesters and relationship managers
• Monitor and improve third-party data quality
• Track trends and recommend process, control, and system enhancements
• Support business effectiveness with data-driven reports and dashboards

Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Review & Approvals

• Review and approve purchase requisitions and supplier updates in line with Group Procurement Policy
• Manage category contract workflows and procurement catalogue updates
• Process sanction screenings and approvals for one-time supplier invoices
• Support procurement access requests and maintain relevant system permissions
• Assist internal and external audit processes with accurate reporting

Customer & Third-Party Support

• Provide guidance on S2P processes, governance, and best practices
• Identify, implement, and maintain process improvements across the procurement lifecycle
• Monitor and maintain data quality and compliance standards
• Manage service incidents and support third-party providers with process-related queries
• Maintain templates and documentation to reflect regulatory and compliance requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Higher Diploma or relevant qualification in Business, Commerce, Management Studies, Procurement (CIPS), Logistics, or Supply Chain
• Diploma in Risk Management, Sourcing, Project Management, or related fields is advantageous
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement operations, S2P processes, or supply chain management

Skills & Attributes

• Customer-focused with the ability to work under pressure
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to process and data quality
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Proficiency in procurement or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa) is preferred
