Are you a solutions-driven Process Engineer with a passion for optimizing manufacturing processes and a knack for leading teams? RCL Foods is looking for a dedicated Process Engineer to join our Groceries & Spreads Business Unit in Boksburg. This is a critical role where you’ll use your expertise to reduce costs, increase production efficiency, and support our business strategy.

What You’ll Do

As a Process Engineer, you’ll be a key player in our manufacturing function. You’ll provide technical expertise and leadership to support factory operations, drive continuous improvement, and help deliver our CAPEX agenda.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Plant Support: Act as a subject matter expert, leading teams in problem-solving and root cause analysis to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and lower production costs.
• Process Improvement: Design, develop, and standardize manufacturing processes to enhance equipment performance and overall productivity.
• Innovation & Renovation: Collaborate with R&D, Brand, and Marketing teams to successfully execute product innovation and renovation projects.
• CAPEX Projects: Lead the entire lifecycle of CAPEX projects, from compiling proposals and conducting preliminary designs to overseeing installation and ensuring operational readiness.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all process engineering activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safety-first culture across the plant.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: A BSc, B.Tech, or B. Eng. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Process Engineer, preferably in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or food processing environment.
• Skills: Proven problem-solving skills, a logical and solutions-driven mindset, and the ability to manage teams and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attributes: You should be a great communicator, adaptable to shifting priorities, and capable of working both independently and in a collaborative environment.
