Minopex is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our Business Improvement and Technical (BIT) team at our Head Office in Woodmead, Johannesburg. What We’re Looking For

We need a proactive and experienced professional who can provide expert process engineering support and lead technical projects. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with a strong background in mineral processing and a commitment to continuous improvement.

To be a good fit for this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering (or an equivalent qualification). Professional registration with ECSA (Pr.Eng) is a plus!
• 8–10 years of experience in mineral processing, plant operations, or process optimization.
• A proven track record of leading technical projects and driving operational improvements.
• Strong knowledge of process modeling, plant troubleshooting, and metallurgical accounting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Process Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of our Business Improvement and Technical team. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks aimed at ensuring optimal plant performance and driving efficiency.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Expert Support: Provide expert process engineering support to operations, including commissioning support and problem-solving interventions.
• Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies that drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Innovation: Collaborate with diverse teams to develop and deploy innovative products in operational environments.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Project Management: Support various projects and operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Reporting: Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
