About the Role
Ampath Laboratories is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join the Kloof team in Pretoria. Phlebotomists at Ampath are more than just technical experts—they are the foundation of our patient care experience. In this role, you’ll collect blood and non-blood specimens with accuracy, professionalism, and compassion, ensuring each patient feels comfortable and cared for.

Minimum Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Phlebotomy or Nursing
• Current registration with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa) or SANC (South African Nursing Council)

• Strong communication skills and fluency in English
• Compassionate and patient-centred approach
• Proficiency in using computer systems and digital tools for data management
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Collect and process blood and non-blood specimens with precision and care
• Ensure accurate documentation and sample identification
• Handle patient payments and records responsibly
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene, safety, and professionalism
• Provide excellent service to patients, ensuring a positive experience
• Support the smooth operation of the laboratory through teamwork and reliability
