Main Purpose of the Role
The Pharmacy Specialised Products Controller is responsible for managing the procurement and billing of specialised products in theatre stores. This role ensures optimal product availability, accurate stock management, and efficient billing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal availability of specialised products in theatre.
- Perform stock holding and control processes for specialised products.
- Ensure accurate billing of all specialised products.
Required Education
- Essential: Grade 12 with Mathematics (pure Mathematics)
- Desired: None
Required Experience
- Essential: Stock control experience in a private hospital environment.
- Desired: Experience working in a theatre environment.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Computer literate, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of hospital procedure policies and protocols.
- Ability to analyse Business Intelligence reports.
- Understanding of stock holding processes.
- Familiarity with medical aid benefits regulations and formularies.
- Knowledge of surgical products and prostheses.
- Experience with pharmacy stock systems.
