This is a key leadership role where you will be responsible for the operational management of our field teams, ensuring our network and services run seamlessly and efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing 💼

As the Operations Manager, you’ll be the central point for all operational activities in your region. Your role is a comprehensive blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and team leadership.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Operational Management: You’ll oversee all preventative and remedial maintenance on our network and customer-managed services, ensuring we meet and exceed our Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You’ll manage scheduled and unscheduled downtime to minimize customer impact and lead the resolution of major incidents.
• Service Delivery: You’ll manage resource availability for new service provisioning, oversee projects executed by your field teams, and ensure the quality of all installations from last-mile fiber to enterprise customer premises.
• Team & Financial Management: You’ll be responsible for managing your sub-departments, ensuring staff are well-managed, trained, and aligned with company goals. You’ll also manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets and assist with business cases for revenue-generating projects.
• Risk & Compliance: You’ll manage risks related to operational projects and support our business continuity plans, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Who We’re Looking For 🌟

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced and skilled professional with a proven track record in the ICT and telecommunications environments. You are a natural leader with a strong technical background and a commitment to operational excellence.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Experience: 5-8 years of experience in the ICT and telecommunications environments, with at least 3-5 years in a junior management role.
• Technical Expertise: A B-Degree or a similar technical qualification is essential. Relevant technical certifications from Cisco or ITIL V3 Foundation are desirable.
• Leadership Skills: You have a solid understanding of how to manage and develop teams, deal with escalations, and report progress to senior management.
• Qualifications: While not essential, an MBA or other management qualification (NQF-6) is a definite advantage.
