Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor OHS policies and procedures to ensure full legal compliance.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections across all sites.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (85 of 1993).
• Promote a proactive safety culture and empower teams to take ownership of safety.
• Deliver OHS training, awareness, and induction programs.
• Collaborate with project managers and event coordinators to maintain safe work environments.
• Maintain risk registers and track control measures.
• Capture and report safety data and trends to management and relevant authorities.
• Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response planning.
• Oversee PPE usage, fire safety equipment, and first aid readiness.
• Conduct and lead monthly SHE meetings.
• Provide OHS guidance, documentation, and support across departments.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or SAMTRAC (preferred).
• At least 7–10 years of OHS management experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Strong background in events, construction, or general workplace safety.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
