Join Our Team as a Mechanical Artisan Assistant!
Are you passionate about hands-on mechanical work and looking to grow your career in maintenance and facilities management? We’re seeking a Mechanical Artisan Assistant (Properties) to support our mechanical artisan in maintaining and repairing equipment, facilities, and machinery — ensuring smooth and efficient operations in line with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll play a vital part in keeping our facilities running seamlessly by:
- Assisting artisans with mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Performing routine mechanical maintenance and minor repairs.
- Changing oil, lubricating machines, and checking equipment performance.
- Using various hand and power tools for maintenance and repairs.
- Inspecting and replacing batteries, fan belts, air filters, oil filters, wiper blades, and lamps.
- Cleaning and maintaining machinery and tools before and after repairs.
- Supporting in vehicle testing and responding to emergency breakdowns.
- Maintaining a clean, organized workshop and adhering to SANS standards during all duties.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate (Matric)
- Relevant experience in mechanical maintenance will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of general maintenance tools and repair work.
