What You’ll Do: A Role Focused on Strategy and Excellence

As the PMO Manager, you will be the central point of contact for project expertise and information. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership: You will lead the PMO, ensuring effective resource planning and maintaining a professional approach to project management.
• Process and Policy: You will establish and maintain project management methodologies, policies, and frameworks based on industry best practices and organizational strategy.
• Investment Management: You will lead and facilitate project investment management, prioritizing initiatives aligned with strategic goals and financial considerations to optimize returns.
• Oversight and Governance: You will oversee the execution of all programmes and projects, tracking progress against planned objectives and managing the overall project portfolio budget.
• Change Champion: You will lead the integration of change management practices into all programmes, ensuring stakeholder engagement and clear communication throughout the SARB Group.
• Team Development: You will perform line management for the PMO team, supporting their professional development and performance.

What You’ll Need to Bring to the Table

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with extensive experience in a project management environment and a proven track record of leadership.

• Education: An Honours degree or postgraduate diploma (NQF-level 8) in project or programme management or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a project management environment, with at least 2-3 years managing a PMO.
• Certifications: A relevant project management certification is required.
• Skills: Sound knowledge and experience in change management, organizational awareness, financial management, and stakeholder engagement are essential. We’re also looking for a leader who can manage complexity and ambiguity, build and maintain relationships, and drive for results.
