We are searching for a dynamic Logistics Manager to oversee the end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations for our cement warehousing and bricks/blocks manufacturing business. What You’ll Be Doing

As our Logistics Manager, you’ll be the linchpin of our operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials and finished goods across multiple sites in Cape Town. This role is a perfect blend of hands-on management and strategic planning.

Key responsibilities include:

• Transportation Management: Coordinating the movement of bulk cement from the port, managing company tankers, and liaising with third-party transport providers.
• Warehouse & Inventory Coordination: Overseeing inventory levels, ensuring our FIFO system is followed, and maintaining accurate stock records across all sites.
• Logistics Planning & Reporting: Developing daily and weekly logistics plans, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and suggesting process improvements to management.
• Supplier & Transporter Liaison: Negotiating with vendors, monitoring transporter performance, and resolving any transport-related issues.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensuring all logistics operations adhere to safety, legal, and company standards, and implementing controls for transport and storage safety.

This role is primarily based at our Inca facility, but will require regular site visits across all our Cape Town locations.

Who We’re Looking For

We need a dedicated and experienced professional who can hit the ground running.

Minimum requirements:

• Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in logistics, transport coordination, or warehouse management.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of inventory management, warehousing principles, and bulk cement handling.
• Skills: Excellent planning, problem-solving, and leadership skills. You should be proficient in logistics software, Microsoft Excel, and report generation.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is essential.
• Other: A valid driver’s license and familiarity with Cape Town routes and regulations is a must.

Experience in the construction materials or cement industry, and exposure to fleet management systems, would be highly advantageous.
