About the Role:
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Credit Manager to join our GWK Financing team. This role provides key support to the Credit Manager in overseeing the debtor’s book, assessing credit applications, and ensuring sound financial management across accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of credit evaluation, financial analysis, and customer relationship management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit evaluation or financing administration.
  • Experience in a commercial bank and/or agricultural co-operative environment.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to clients and industry events.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
  • FAIS compliant (RE5 completed or in progress).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, prepare, and screen credit applications.
  • Administer the financing function within company policy parameters.
  • Support in collecting overdue accounts and managing debtor queries.
  • Assess financial statements, cash flow forecasts, budgets, and security documentation.
  • Assist in processing supplier payments, member funds, and shareholder loans.
  • Prepare and post debtor and ledger journals.
  • Conduct month-end closing procedures for the Debtors Department.
  • Maintain accurate financial and administrative records.
  • Liaise with clients, internal departments, and external stakeholders.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage conflict and perform under pressure.
  • Collaborative team player.
