What You’ll Be Doing 💼

As an IT Support Engineer, you’ll be the first point of contact for our end-users, providing essential support for both hardware and software. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring our systems are secure, efficient, and reliable.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • End-User Support: You will provide internal and remote support for our end-users, handling software installations, hardware troubleshooting, and general IT inquiries.
  • Security & Monitoring: You’ll work with various security solutions, including firewalls and vulnerability management systems, to ensure our IT environment is secure. You’ll also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on system performance.
  • Technical Maintenance: You’ll perform routine maintenance on our hardware and software, manage our network and security infrastructure, and support our telephony and voice solutions.
  • Active Directory Management: You’ll have the opportunity to work with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management, an essential skill for any IT professional.

Who We’re Looking For 🌟

The ideal candidate is a proactive and collaborative individual with a solid understanding of IT support and maintenance. You have a customer-focused mindset and a passion for service delivery.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in IT software and desktop support and maintenance.
  • Education: A Grade 12 qualification is a must. A relevant IT certificate such as MCSE, A+, N+, CCNA, SQL, Linux, or Server+ is essential. An NQF 6 qualification in IT would be an advantage.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, a focus on customer service, and the ability to work effectively in a team are key.
