What You’ll Be Doing

• IT Operations Management: Direct the activities of our IT technical personnel and contribute to IT policies and procedures to ensure the department runs smoothly.
• System Monitoring & Support: Ensure that servers, networks, and other systems are monitored for performance and that backups are being done correctly. You’ll also assess and resolve help desk escalations and support system upgrades.
• Third-Party & Capacity Management: Help manage relationships with third-party vendors, monitor quotes for IT repairs and upgrades, and provide input on capacity planning and system improvements.
• Reporting: Contribute to the creation of various reports, including weekly service reviews, root cause analyses, and ad-hoc management reports.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• An NQF 5 qualification with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• Proven technical experience with computer software and hardware, including servers and systems.
• A strong understanding of general management principles and the ability to effectively coordinate IT personnel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on client satisfaction.
