🔍 The Role: Internal Auditor

We’re looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit team at VKB’s Head Office in Reitz. This role is ideal for someone with an analytical mind, a structured approach, and the courage to challenge the status quo.

You’ll be responsible for risk-based audits, internal control evaluations, and supporting continuous improvement across a diverse and growing business.

🎯 What You’ll Do

• Plan, execute, and report on audits across VKB’s operations
• Develop audit programs and conduct fieldwork
• Identify business risks and test internal controls
• Recommend improvements to internal control systems
• Review the work of junior internal auditors and support SAICA trainees
• Implement data analytics and proactive audit techniques
• Engage with managers and stakeholders throughout the audit process

🧩 What You’ll Need

• Grade 12 / NQF4
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Auditing (SAICA or CIA-accredited)
• 3+ years auditing experience (completed articles required)
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk assessment, and audit frameworks
• Valid Code 8 driver’s license (travel will be required)
• Ability to work independently and contribute as a team player
• Exposure to Arbutus Analyzer or Power BI is advantageous
• Passion for continuous improvement and process innovation
