What Does This Role Entail?

As an ICT Support specialist, you’ll be on the front lines, providing crucial technical assistance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Desktop Support: You’ll be the first point of contact for users, logging and resolving their requests for assistance. You’ll handle everything from simple inquiries to more complex issues, ensuring a smooth user experience.
• Hardware & Software Management: You’ll install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and software. You’ll also assist with setting up campus venues and conducting regular tests to ensure all equipment is fully operational.
• Administrative Excellence: You’ll perform a range of administrative tasks, including maintaining the ICT asset register, liaising with service providers, and ensuring compliance with data protection legislation like POPIA.
• Training & Development: You’ll train and orientate staff on the use of new hardware and software, empowering them to work more efficiently.

You will be an ideal candidate if you have:

• A minimum Higher Certificate/Occupational Certificate Level 5 (NQF Level 5) in A+/N+.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in ICT.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle a pressured environment.
• A driver’s license and willingness to work within a required shift structure.
