Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic ICT Project Manager (PM) to lead the implementation of strategic Information Technology (IT) initiatives. This role is critical for driving cost-effectiveness, enhancing service quality, and ensuring business efficiency within a continuously evolving environment. The PM will be responsible for the end-to-end project management of information systems that support the organization’s internal and external business operations and models.
Key Responsibilities
ICT Project Initiation & Governance
- Contribute to the strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the organization’s information and technology systems.
- Implement an appropriate Information Technology Governance Framework and ensure consistent compliance.
- Communicate ICT implementation plans and policies effectively to project sponsors.
- Research and evaluate alternatives for the enhancement or re-engineering of IT projects.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition, timely and accurate invoicing, and effective monitoring of receivables.
- Contribute to the development of the overall enterprise systems architecture.
- Establish and implement appropriate ICT project progress reporting mechanisms for project sponsors and the project team.
Project Management Execution
- Develop and manage procurement documentation and project Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in line with the bank’s overall SLA.
- Define and schedule project deliverables, milestones, activities, and tasks.
- Develop a comprehensive work plan and staffing allocation for all project phases and iterations.
- Plan and manage daily project operations, ensuring optimal resource utilization and delivery within the approved scope, budget, and timelines.
- Direct and coordinate the project team’s activities to ensure on-schedule and on-budget progression.
- Track and control project budgets, weekly expenses, and monitor benefits realization.
- Prepare and present accurate progress reports and motivations to the team and project sponsors.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective mitigation plans.
- Manage business and ICT transition activities, including acceptance testing, training, change management, post-implementation support, and handover of services to operational teams.
- Monitor and validate the project’s pricing model and billing procedures.
- Maintain strict compliance with internal standards, external accreditation requirements, and legal obligations.
- Implement the project communication plan through regular team and stakeholder engagements to ensure alignment.
- Perform post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in future project outcomes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of accurate revenue recognition with timely invoicing and effective monitoring of receivables.
- Alignment of project outcomes with defined business objectives and adherence to project management lifecycle principles.
- Consistent on-time, within-scope, and within-budget project delivery.
- Quality and consistency of project information, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and standardization across the bank.
Expertise & Technical Competencies
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Commerce, Project / Programme Management, or Engineering.
- A recognized Project Management qualification (PMBOK, Prince2, or similar).
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in the management of Information and Communication Technology and/or business projects.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing medium to large-sized projects in an Information and Communication Technology environment.

- Project Management: Initiates project plans, secures resources across departmental boundaries, applies estimating techniques, develops project risk management approaches, and maximizes the effectiveness of project teams.
- Planning & Organizing: Proficiently plans and organizes workloads for self and others, uses advanced time management to meet deadlines and manage high workloads, and achieves goals by effectively prioritizing and replanning.
- Negotiation Skills: Possesses and applies basic negotiating skills, including understanding the counterparty’s agenda, deciphering unspoken communication, successfully concluding negotiations, and developing mutually beneficial solutions.
- Written Communication: Masters various writing styles for different audiences, composes effective correspondence, reports, and briefing notes, reviews others’ documents for clarity, and has a solid mastery of writing principles (grammar, sentence construction, etc.).
