One&Only Cape Town is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our team in the heart of the city’s vibrant waterfront. What You’ll Do: Build Our Team of Dream-Makers
This isn’t just a desk job. As our HR Manager, you will be the heart of our employee experience, actively supporting our resort in achieving its business goals. You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and inspiring the HR team to maintain the highest levels of service.
- Managing the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, with a focus on empathy and impartiality.
- Developing and implementing proactive HR initiatives that boost employee engagement, communication, and recognition.
- Overseeing and administering our HR and payroll systems with precision and accuracy.
- Acting as an internal consultant for management on all employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with South African labor law.
- Driving our Employment Equity and BBBEE scorecards to ensure we are a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Managing the HR budget and participating in financial reviews to ensure our department is operating efficiently.
- Collaborating with the Training Manager to identify needs, create training plans, and build succession plans for key players.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR professional with a passion for the hospitality industry and a deep understanding of South African labor law.
- Education: A tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or a related field is a must.
- Experience: You should have 4-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Systems Knowledge: Experience with Sage VIP and TrackTeck is required, and experience with SAP SuccessFactors is a bonus.
- Key Skills: You are a natural leader with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. You have a keen eye for detail and can handle sensitive information with discretion.
