What You’ll Be Doing: Navigating the Waters of HR

As our new HR Manager, you’ll be the strategic partner responsible for executing our HR initiatives and ensuring they align with our business objectives. You’ll play a crucial role in cultivating a high-performance culture, fostering employee engagement, and developing our talented team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Partnership: Collaborating with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support our business goals and drive organizational change.
• Compliance & Employee Relations: Ensuring full compliance with South African labor laws, including managing our B-BBEE strategy from execution to reporting. You’ll also be the go-to person for employee queries, maintaining a supportive and inclusive workplace.
• Talent Management: Overseeing our recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain the best talent. You’ll also guide managers on performance management, succession planning, and skills development.
• Employee Engagement: Leading initiatives that promote communication, collaboration, and well-being, all while helping our employees thrive.

Are You Ready to Get On Board?

We’re looking for a proactive, solutions-oriented professional who can seamlessly navigate both strategic and operational HR challenges.

What you must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role within an international organization, preferably in the shipping, maritime, or logistics industry.
• Proven expertise in managing B-BBEE compliance, including strategy, reporting, and audits.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor legislation.
• Experience with payroll systems like Sage VIP and a strong background in HR service delivery.
