Are you a strategic and experienced HR professional looking for a new challenge? Mintek has an exciting opportunity for an HR Business Partner to join our team in Randburg. This is a permanent position where you will play a crucial role in providing end-to-end HR services and aligning HR strategies with the needs of your allocated divisions.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an HR Business Partner, you will be the key link between the HR division and the business units you support. Your role is to provide expert advice and strategic guidance to ensure that all HR initiatives and policies are effectively implemented and aligned with Mintek’s overall strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- HR Strategy & Governance: Monitoring the implementation of HR strategies and providing expert advice on company policies and procedures.
- Performance Management: Driving a performance management culture by facilitating performance agreements, moderating meetings, and analyzing data to inform decision-making.
- Talent Management: Implementing Mintek’s talent management strategy to attract, develop, and retain top talent within your divisions.
- Workforce Planning: Assisting divisions in preparing workforce plans to identify the skills and resources needed to achieve their objectives.
- Employee Relations: Acting as an advisor on disciplinary matters, grievances, and poor performance issues, while escalating complex cases as needed.
- Succession Planning & Retention: Analyzing exit trends and compiling reports to inform the retention strategy.
Who We’re Looking For
We need a dedicated and proactive professional with a strong HR background and a knack for building positive working relationships.
Minimum requirements:
- Education: An Honours Degree in HR or Industrial Psychology (or an equivalent qualification).
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of working experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, or in a similar role.
- Competencies: You must be able to proactively meet customer needs, establish strong relationships, and manage customer expectations effectively.
