What You’ll Be Doing 💼
As our HR Administrator, you’ll be the backbone of our remuneration and benefits function. You’ll ensure every employee’s information is accurate, up-to-date, and secure.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Data Integrity & Administration: You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating employee files both manually and electronically. You will process all employee movements—from new hires and promotions to transfers and terminations—on our HR Information Systems.
- Benefits Administration: You’ll work with benefit consultants to ensure employees are well-advised on pension, medical, and risk benefits. You will administer benefit claims and keep employee files updated with the latest beneficiary information.
- Compliance & Governance: You’ll ensure our operations are fully compliant with internal audit requirements, the POPI Act, and all relevant labor legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and the Employment Equity Act. You will also assist with preparing reports for internal and external audits.
- Reporting & Analytics: You will develop and maintain ad hoc reports and assist various departments with data analysis to support strategic decision-making. You will report on key metrics such as employee movements and leave management.
- Customer Service: You’ll be the go-to person for employee queries, providing support with our self-service portals and conducting induction presentations for new employees.
Who We’re Looking For 🌟
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented professional with a strong knowledge of HR business processes and information systems.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience working with HR Information Systems and payroll inputs.
- Education: A B degree in Human Resources or a relevant field. A certificate in Payroll Administration would be a plus!
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of employee master data administration, remuneration, and benefits. You must be a competent user of HR systems like PaySpace, IFS, and Time and Attendance, with strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Legal Knowledge: A solid understanding of key labor legislation, including the BEE Act, POPI, and the Employment Equity Act.
- Personal Attributes: You are organized, thorough, and methodical, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You thrive on meeting deadlines and can work well under pressure.
