The Opportunity

Servest, a leading and innovative provider in the Integrated Facilities Management industry, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry Attendant to join our team at the VUP Village site in Musina. This temporary role reports directly to the Project Manager within the Catering Business Unit.

We are looking for a dedicated individual who is committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest service, thereby supporting Servest’s reputation for world-class facility management.

Key Responsibilities (Duties & Responsibilities)

I. Housekeeping and Cleanliness

• Guest Room Maintenance: Ensure all guest rooms are meticulously cleaned, including making beds daily and changing linens as scheduled.

• Hygiene Standards: Clean and disinfect all sanitary areas, including toilet bowls, sinks, and floors, strictly adhering to hygiene protocols.

• Common Areas: Ensure all common areas and Lodge floors are kept immaculate, free of dirt and debris.

• Window Cleaning: Clean windows in guest rooms where screens are not installed.

• Waste Management: Collect trash from all Lodge floors and manage the disposal of wastebaskets and general trash appropriately.

II. Laundry Operations

• Processing: Perform comprehensive laundry services, including the washing, ironing, and folding of all linen.

• Disinfection: Ensure linen is disinfected according to company hygiene standards.

III. Guest Services and Support

• Professionalism: Maintain a consistently mannerly, professional, and tactful demeanor when interacting with guests.

• Guest Assistance: Provide assistance to guests, including ushering them to their rooms when required.

• Operational Support: Provide cleaning support for all housekeeping-related functions and assist the higher-level supervisor with relevant housekeeping tasks.

IV. Working Hours

• Shift Work: Must be available and prepared to work night shift when required by the operational schedule.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.

• Experience: Previous experience in a housekeeping role is essential.
