If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Health and Safety Officer in the Western Cape.

This isn’t just any job—it’s a chance to grow with a large, established company that values your expertise. You’ll be reporting directly to the Health and Safety Manager and playing a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely.

What You’ll Do

As our Health and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for a wide range of critical tasks, including:

  • Safety and Risk Management: Proactively identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Accident / Incident Investigation: Conducting thorough investigations to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
  • Workmen’s Compensation: Managing and processing all related claims and documentation.
  • Training / Legislation: Developing and delivering safety training while staying up-to-date with all relevant legislation.
  • Administration: Handling all the necessary paperwork and reporting to ensure compliance.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, organized, and dedicated team player. We need someone who can take charge and deliver results, especially in high-pressure situations.

Key Requirements:

  • Professional Registration: You must be professionally registered as a Safety Officer with SACPCMP.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer, with previous experience in construction being a significant advantage.
  • Qualifications: Ideally, you have a SAMTRAC or a related tertiary qualification.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of electro-mechanical installations, accident/incident investigation, Workmen’s Compensation, and all relevant legislation is essential. You should also be proficient in MS Office and have strong administrative and reporting skills.

This is a permanent, junior management position offering a market-related salary and excellent benefits. This is a designated EE position.
