The Role: Mastering the Art of Claims Negotiation

As a Graduate Liabilities Negotiator, you will enter a rigorous learning environment designed to teach you the end-to-end management of Third-Party Claims. Your primary objective will be to secure a successful liability ratio and deliver quality service through effective negotiation, pre-litigation.

Key Learning Areas & Deliverables

You will receive focused training and accountability in critical business functions:

• Third-Party Claims Mastery: Learn to process and manage all Third-Party claims, focusing on how to secure a successful liability ratio and maintain high productivity standards.
• End-to-End Finalization: Master the standard procedures for finalizing claims—updating logs, communicating with brokers, and accurately finalizing cases on BPM and financial systems.
• Legal Application: Actively apply your foundational knowledge of the Law of Collision/Law of Delict in practical negotiation and decision-making scenarios, learning how to weigh risks effectively.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and recommend areas/ways to improve claims processes and operational efficiency.
• Customer Excellence: Build positive customer relations, actively gather feedback on satisfaction, and quickly solve or escalate customer queries and complaints.
• Professional Development: Actively participate in your own professional development and career path, ensuring your behaviour aligns with Hollard’s inclusive culture and values.

Educational & Experience Requirements

• Core Education: Matric and a BCom Law or LLB Degree are essential.
• Advantageous Qualifications: While not mandatory, a Risk Management Diploma, Coding Diploma, or Reporting Qualification are advantageous.
• Technical Skills: You must possess strong Administrative skills, Attention to detail, and proficiency in Intermediate Excel and Word.
