What You’ll Be Doing
As a General Manager, you’ll be the ultimate leader of your property, with full and sole responsibility for its profitable operation. Your role is to oversee all aspects of property management, from maximizing financial performance to ensuring guest satisfaction and staff development.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Strategic Oversight: You’ll be in charge of the entire property, ensuring all operations align with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and strategic goals.
- Team Leadership: You’ll lead by example, fostering a positive culture where your staff feels empowered and respected. You’ll be responsible for their development and well-being.
- Financial Management: You’ll take charge of the property’s financial performance, ensuring a profitable operation and maximizing revenue.
- Problem-Solving: You’ll use your hands-on approach to solve problems and remain calm under pressure, handling any situation with efficiency and grace.
- Guest and Staff Relations: You’ll maintain effective communication with both guests and staff, building strong relationships that are at the core of our business.
Is This You?
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced leader who embodies our core values. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience: 5-10 years of previous General Management experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel, with prior resort General Management experience being essential.
- Education: A Matric certificate and a Hotel Management Diploma or equivalent are required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Management, or Economics is a definite plus.
- Skills: You must have experience with hotel management and Point of Sale (POS) software, along with excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. You should also be a great team player with a high level of attention to detail.
