Are you a highly skilled financial professional with a strong background in accounting and reporting? De Beers Group is looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join its Finance team in Cape Town, South Africa. This is a pivotal, permanent role where you’ll be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and reporting section for De Beers Technology.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a CA(SA) or an experienced financial manager to ensure technical compliance with all accounting standards, manage tax compliance, and drive continuous improvement through technology. You’ll lead a dedicated team and play a critical role in providing accurate financial data for senior management decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure all monthly, interim, and annual reports comply with IFRS and relevant laws. You’ll also manage cash flow forecasting and the preparation of statutory returns.
• Team Leadership: Manage a team of direct reports, ensuring they are capable of supporting the business with technical accounting questions.
• Audit & Taxation: Oversee both external and internal audits and manage all tax compliance activities, including budget, forecast, and annual income tax packs.
• Process Optimization: Analyze trends and implement actions to enhance existing financial processes, policies, and control systems, with a focus on using technology to maximize efficiencies.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• A CA(SA) with 3 years of post-article experience, or an appropriate Honours Finance or Commercial qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in a management capacity.
• Solid experience with consolidations, interim, and year-end reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting software like HFM, HSF/OneStream, and SAP.
• A proven track record of driving continuous improvement and a strong aptitude for financial analysis.
