Job Summary
Absa is seeking a Financial Adviser (AIFA – FAIS) to provide expert advice on clients’ long-term insurance and financial planning needs. The successful candidate will help clients manage risk, plan for the future, and build lasting financial security while developing a sustainable broker practice through continuous client engagement and portfolio review.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Sourcing: Obtain walk-in clients and data leads from bank staff within branches.
- Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Risk & Compliance: Adhere to all risk management, control, and regulatory frameworks affecting the business area.
- Sales & Growth Management:
- Capture accurate Policy Relevant Information (PRI) numbers in the EBankpac system monthly.
- Verify commission statements from the AIFA Commissions department to ensure all PRI numbers reconcile with payments.
- Financial Planning: Provide tailored long-term insurance solutions aligned with client needs and goals.
- Portfolio Review: Regularly review client portfolios to ensure relevance and compliance with evolving financial objectives.
FAIS Fit and Proper Requirements
Applicants must meet the FAIS regulatory requirements for Advice and Intermediary Services:
- FSCA-Approved Qualification
- Regulatory Exam for Representatives (RE5)
- Relevant FAIS Experience
- Product-Specific Training (post-onboarding)
- Class of Business Training
- Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
- High standards of honesty, integrity, and good standing
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting (preferred)
- National Senior Certificate / Matric (Grade 12)
