Job Opportunity: Executive – Regulatory Services (Gauteng)


The Cross-Border Road Transport Agency (C-BRTA) is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Executive: Regulatory Services to join their team in Gauteng. This is a senior-level contract position for a professional with a deep understanding of road transport regulations and a proven track record in senior management.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of strategic and operational duties, including:

  • Strategy and Management: Developing and implementing the divisional strategy and annual performance plans.
  • Permit Administration: Overseeing all aspects of permit administration and management.
  • Regulatory Oversight: Managing cross-border road transport regulation and ensuring compliance.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Business Development: Establishing viable and feasible regulatory models for cross-border road transport business and financing.
  • People and Budget Management: Leading the divisional team and managing the budget effectively.
  • Research: Conducting research and managing knowledge to stay ahead of industry trends.

Requirements

  • Formal Qualifications: A Degree or NQF level 7 qualification is required, preferably in Law or a related discipline. A post-graduate degree at NQF level 8 in Law, Transport Management, or a related field would be a significant advantage.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in a road transport regulatory environment is essential. At least 5 years of experience at a Senior Management level is also required, along with extensive, up-to-date knowledge of transport-related legislation in the SADC region.

Compensation & Benefits

This position offers an all-inclusive remuneration package of R3,035,038 per annum.
